Welcome to The Santa Barbara County Summer Youth's Blog!
The Workforce Investment Board will is working on the second year of the Summer Youth Employment Program. We're expanding the number of youth in the program to 350 county-wide! Funding comes from the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act. The students chosen for this program will get job training, mentoring and the ability to jump-start their resumes! This blog allows the students to write about their experiences at their county jobs this summer.

Sebastian C. & Elizabeth L. were the two youth who created the Summer Youth Documentary for the summer of 2009 documenting youth participants at their worksites throughout the County.
